Track-ready Ducati powerhouse.
Specification Overview
This 2008 Ducati 1098R racebike was built by Boulder Motorsports. Currently it's powered by a racebuilt 1198R engine, but there's the original 1098R motor built to RS specs available with it.
The bike has a Motec M880 ECU/DAQ with a Motec SDL data logger, lots of custom performance sensors, and a RaceGrade GNSS enabled GPS all tied together with a custom CAN bus.
Front suspension are Ohlins FG511 (original) externals with Ohlins TTX25 pressurized cartridges with an assortment of springs and the tools to change them quickly trackside. The cartridges were updated to the latest bronze bushings and are freshly rebuilt by Single Track Mind suspension. Triple clamps are Dan Kyle 30mm offset and the original 1098R triple clamp with 42/450 serial number is in the spares.
Rear suspension is the original Ohlins TTX shock fitted with a "flat link", Sato ride height adjuster, and hydraulic preload adjuster. The shock is valved and sprung for a 200 lb. rider and 2 other rear springs are with the bike.
Intake is aftermarket larger ram tubes (fitting the bodywork), OEM air filter, and short aluminum RS intake funnels. Fuel delivery system was reworked to prevent low pressure at top end low altitude tracks and fuel slosh issue under heavy braking.
Bodywork is Sharkskinz.
Exhaust is 1098R Termignoni stainless.
Brakes are Braking rotors with original Brembo calipers and Vesrah HH pads.
Clutch is <<< >>> with aftermarket Sato larger slave cylinder for better launch control.
Quickshift is enabled with inline sensor tied to highly customizable shift strategies available with the Motec M880 ECU.
Traction control, launch control, and wheelie control are all enabled via the Motec M880 ECU with a high degree of customization.
This track-only machine is designed and built for speed on the racetrack.
